Expose Yourself To Art

Does anybody remember this old poster?  The parents of one of my best friends had it hanging in their house when I was young, and the image has stuck with me up to present day.

Why do I bring this up?  After Gabriella and I did our first big market this past Sunday, I decided that it would be fitting to change the caption to Expose Yourself FOR Art.

The day’s weather was picture perfect and everything went off without a hitch.  We had the opportunity to meet many new faces and saw almost every type of dog breed that’s possible.  It was great!

This coming weekend, September 25 and 26, will be the big Open Studios event for Boston.  After that, we will be at SoWa on October 3, 10, 24 and 31.  If you happen to be in the area on any of those Sundays, please stop by and say hello to us.  We would love to chat with you!

The show canvases from Christopher’s came down on Tuesday, so you can now see some familiar faces back on the wall.  My main goal now is to concentrate on the chair and have it done by mid October.  I had a little trouble making some color commitments this week, and this project is forcing me to approach things in a very different way.  Room for error is small, and I’m trying to take my time and make smart decisions.

So as you can see, slowly but surely.  After working on it today, I’m still not 100% satisfied with what I see, but after I do the outlining on what I have so far, it might be a whole different story.  That’s usually how it works out.

Another busy weekend for us coming up, and it seems one week folds into the next in the blink of an eye.  By next Thursday, I hope to have some new canvases started as well as a larger 24″ x 48″ piece that I’m going to do on a wood panel.

I want to welcome all of my new followers this week and give a special THANK YOU to all of my regulars – you know who you are!  Have a great weekend, everyone!
