What a Difference!

It's finally starting to look and feel like spring here in New England.  It's seems like it was only a couple of weeks ago that we were knee deep in snow.  I was out walking today, and my favorite tree looks much different that it did when I talked about it last.  Things are shaping up on all fronts!

In the studio this week, I spent more time on some of the commissions that I have been working on.  They should be mostly done by the end of the weekend, and I can have them in the mail by the beginning of next week.

It's also been a very busy week in my Mini Mandala shop.  As I have said before, my Mini Mandalas have always been one of my most popular offers at the outdoor art markets that I participate in.  It wasn't until I opened my online shop that I realized exactly how popular they were.  I have always put most of my energies into trying to sell my larger canvases, but with the economy the way it has been, large art purchases have been out of the question for most people.  The Mini Mandalas are at a very reasonable price point - $25.00 US delivered, and it allows easier access to my work.  This has always been my goal, and I couldn't be happier with the positive response that I have gotten so far.

To all of you that have made a recent purchase, I want to thank you for your support.  It means a lot to me, and it also allows me to continue my pursuit as a full-time painter.  The best thing any one of you can do beyond bringing my canvases into your homes is to spread the word near and far.  Word of mouth is a powerful thing!

There will be more additions to the shop in weeks to come, and I will have a very special surprise coming up as well, so please stay tuned.

I have a new guest post up on the Zatista Wall Spin Blog this week, it's entitled The Art of Music, and I think you will enjoy it.  Next to the fine arts, music is one of my biggest passions.  When the two come together, even better.  Enjoy!

Next week I will be doing a post that I think you will all enjoy.  I will be paying tribute to some of my most supportive followers. I hope to have some other great news as well.

So, until next Thursday, I wish each and every one of you a great weekend!

  4. B - excellent work in both your Zatista shop and your mini mandala shop - glad you are out there online and selling. So important to experiment with different forms of promotion and sales. Fiona and I are just about to head down the online path - probably take another month or two. Continue to create well. B

  5. Barry,

I agree with you concerning different form of promotion. Either way, it takes lot's of additional time. My current formula is 50% in the studio creating and 50% working on promotion.

I wish you and Fiona a fabulous week!

    Take care,
    Brian
