ArtBeat is this Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, and I’ve spent the whole week painting my little fingers to the bone trying to flesh my inventory out a bit.
The economy in the US right now is in the toilet, so my goal is to offer affordable, original art. The 5″ x 5″ canvases are a mere $20, and yes, artwork right now is probably at the very end of everyone’s list of necessities, but I could think of a lot worse things to have in one’s home.
I’m happy to announce that the table I have been working on is about 95% finished. I plan to take it to the market on Saturday to show it off in hopes of additional commissions.
I like working on wood as much as I like working on canvas, and nothing makes me happier than to see a piece of furniture that had been discarded on the curb come back to life.
Tonight, I started to pull everything together that I will need for the market on Saturday. Tent, tent weights, promotional materials, table, canvases, etc, etc, etc. It has been some time since I have had to take the whole production out on the road. I am hoping and praying to the universe that the buying public will be out in full force this Saturday. I will have a full report with plenty of photos next Thursday.
Until then, please keep me in your thoughts and send me your good energy. I could not continue on this pursuit without your encouragement, feedback and kindness. I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you!
