Welcome to Vermont and Tour of the Chaffee Art Center

I am very happy to announce that Miss G and I made it safe and sound to our new home in Rutland, Vermont.  We have a lot of work to do in order to unpack and get the house in order, but we managed to slip out today to go see our work at the Chaffee Art Center.  We were both happy to see that all three of our submitted works were chosen to be hung and that they went in to prominent areas of the gallery.

There will be an opening reception on December 9th, and I'm sure we will both report on the event after it happens.

Please stay tuned for next Thursday's post as I'm sure that after the dust settles here, I will be able to get back into the painting groove and have much more to report on.  Until then, have a fabulous weekend!  Thank you for stopping by!

  4. Brad,

Gabriella and I were both thrilled to see our works hanging in the gallery. It was a perfect start to our life in this new town. Now, the trick is to keep the momentum rolling.

Setting up shop is a chore, but I think by the end of next week we will be able to focus on getting back to creating.

    Take care, my friend,
    Brian

  5. B- so glad that you and G have landed and are finding your feet. It sounds from G's post that you are rapidly getting settled and becoming part of segments of your community - at least the art and food parts anyway. The Art Center looks excellent and so good to see that your work is already in place. Hope you enjoy the opening on the 9 Dec - another way to connect with other artists. Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment - it also alerted me to the fact that you were connected. Positive vibes to you and G for a happy, creative and prosperous future. Go well. B

    Best wishes,

  8. Barry,

Slowly but surely we are settling in and getting used to our new surroundings. We had a fresh blanket of snow the other night, so the Vermont winter has begun!

Tonight is the reception at the Chaffee, and I will have a full report next week.

Until then, you and Fiona take care,
    Brian

I hope you have been well, and I appreciate you taking the time to stop by here.

    All the best,
